Recently, Allison and I have started spending time every Sunday afternoon to go out and take pictures. Part of the inspiration came from George Nelson’s fabulous book, How to See. DWR recently started printing the book again, and I found it quite uplifting. In short, he spends time focusing on one thing, (example: Signage) and takes only pictures relating to it. The analysis is the best part of the book, and it really helps me, as a designer, to look VERY closely when I study a subject…..but to also, step back and see the overall impact.
